Here are our first gals trying to follow me with the camera!

Orpington - Cookie,
Cookie & Kit Kat are no longer with us...
*We don't eat our chickens, because their layers, so we ended up giving them all food names*
Here are our new chicks with their names & breeds....
Black Sussex - Pepper
Pepper full grown...is all black with a little bit of reddish coloring under her neck.
Silver Wyandotte - Ritz (for Ritz Crackers)
Ritz full grown and a beautiful variety of sizes and shapes of black & white feathers.
So Cool!
Ameraucana - Hersey (notice cheek feathers, lays green eggs)
Hersey full grown has kept her cheek feathers and lays beautiful greenish blue eggs.
Brahma - Salt (will have feathers on her feet)
Salt full grown is a hefty, yet a beautifully patterned bird with feet feathers.
Golden Sex Link - Popcorn (Grandma Nelson's chick)
Popcorn has keep her unique golden color with bright underlining cream feathers in her tail area.
Sagitta - Sugar (Said, Saw-gee-ta-h)
Sagitta - Spice (These 2 little gals were special ordered for a organic egg farmer in Enterprise, Utah. The gentlemen ordered 250 chicks and ended up with 18 extras so I picked up two! The breed is very new, only being 8 years old, it is a 3 part mix between New Hampshire (known for size) Cornish Hen (known for flavor as a table hen) and Rhode Island Red (best brown egg layer there is).
Sugar & Spice full grown are beautifully colored in red feathers all except the tips of one or two black tail feathers. They are good layers and can put food away like it's going out of style. Most of my chickens weigh about 2 to 3 pounds, but these big girls weigh almost 8 pounds each and look identical...so I only took a picture of one!
It may sound weird, but I thank my Heavenly Father
everyday for my Chickens, and all the beautiful creations he's given us!
